We have the results from the inaugural Drive to Revive event and are pleased to announce that we raised more than $8,000 for Gleaners Food Bank. The money raised will provide more than 25,000 meals to those served by Gleaners.
More than 300 people attended the event, which took place in a transformed Gleaners warehouse, decorated to match the evening’s chic theme. Attendees enjoyed food, drinks and a variety of silent auction items for bid.
Party goers were also given the chance to meet and take photos with Verizon IndyCar Series driver Carlos Muñoz, who finished second in the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500. Muñoz’s Andretti Autosport teammate, rookie Alexander Rossi, finished first. AxiaTP is an Andretti Autosport sponsor.
This was the first year for “Drive to Revive,” and AxiaTP Co-Founder Josh Ross plans to build on the event’s initial success.
“With all of the enthusiasm for the 100th Running of the Indy 500, we thought it would be an ideal opportunity to harness that excitement into support for a tremendous cause,” said Ross. “Gleaners has such an important mission, and AxiaTP is proud to support it. We believe ‘Drive to Revive’ and its impact will continue to grow each year.”
Gleaners President and CEO Cynthia Hubert praised the event and AxiaTP for its commitment to ensuring success for the first-time event.
“Often times, it takes a couple of years to build these events into impactful fundraisers,” said Hubert. “AxiaTP bucked that trend and worked diligently to make ‘Drive to Revive’ a success from day one. The money raised will provide thousands of meals for needy families, and we are so thankful for AxiaTP’s commitment to Gleaners.”
In case you were unable to attend the event, here is a video we created to kick off the evening’s festivities that provides some insight into why we decided to launch Drive to Revive.
